All About Kelpies:

Beau (our Sire) Ledgerock Boston

Australian Stock Dogs make the perfect “Mate”. As working dogs we've chosen a pair that produce cow dogs. Kelpies are distinct from heelers since they naturally go to the front of stock instead of driving them away from a cowboy. Kelpies have been bred for decades to instinctively make great stock dogs. In addition they are great people dogs too. They are less territorial than collies or heelers and you don't have worry about them biting the neighbors kids. About half of our first liter went to people that loved Kelpies and don't plan to work them. They make great people pets and are quiet enough to have in the house.

5 Reasons to own a registered Kelpie

  1. Great with kids (not aggressive around strangers)

  2. Short hair (cleaner, less shedding)

  3. Very smart, trainable, and obedient

  4. Bred to work stock (for generations)

  5. Can stay outdoors or indoors

Black/Tan Male · WKC #39749 · October, 2000
Bred by: Chris Stapleton, NSW Australia

Capree Boston is the young stud that his breeder personally selected to compliment our breeding program. He retained a littermate, Capree Cobb, who recently won the 2002 Australian National Field Trial Championship in the Novice Division. Capree Boston is a proven and prepotent sire. His offspring are very devoted and possess an enormous amount natural ability and working instinct.

LedgeRock (US) Morgan (Dam of Ledgerock Boston)

Black/Tan Female · WKC #38819 · June, 2000
Bred and owned by: Ledge Rock Working Kelpies, Wisconsin, USA

Ledgerock Morgan is the result of a carefully planned mating and our pick to retain for breeding. Morgan is extremely talented and highly intelligent. Three of her littermates are excelling in competitive herding, canine sports, and in search and rescue. Morgan has produced three litters and her offspring are exceeding all expectations. We are extremely gratified by the feedback we receive from their new owners.

CLK Crow (Sire of Seth Creek Belle) http://hometown.aol.com/kelpieguy

1998 Black/tan male bred and owned by Kelly Orr.  Sire: Deerwood's Ace of Spades x Dam: Triple S BB Lace.

Crow is the first pup out of Lace.  His is my right hand when it come to any stock work.  He is wide enough to work undog broke lambs yet able to come in a give a clean nose bite to unruly steers.  He is extremely biddable and so willing to please that it has been hard to work anything else.  He has control enough to even work ducks.  He is one of the most honest dogs I have been around.  We have a great partnership and he covers any of my shortcomings when it comes to the trial arena.

Crow is starting out the trial season in a good way.  The 2003 Klamath Cow Dog Trial had 63 dogs run.  Crow made it to the finals and finished 11th overall. Crow placed 8th the first day, fourth the next day and third the final day to become the reserve champion open arena at the Box R Oregon Championship Cowdog Trial. To finish up the year, Crow finished in the top fifty dogs in USBCHA to qualify to go to the National Finals.
